If you could bottle the love that Rachel & Shaun have for one another, it would be invaluable. They met at Portsmouth university and have now planted their roots here, buying their first home together. So where better than to celebrate their love, joining together as husband and wife then their beautiful town of Portsmouth at the Royal Marines Museum.
Rachel’s bridal prep took place in Queens hotel overlooking the sea. She got ready along side her devoted and oh-so excited bridesmaids. It was the first time I had seen them all since the wedding fair last year and they were just as excitable as when I first met them.
Rachel brought her stunning Stella York dress from Anya Bridal. I remember when Rachel sent me a photo of her in the dress when she brought it, but to see Rachel in it first hand…wow!
The wedding stationary was designed by Rachel’s very own brother, he definitely has a career in stationary design just waiting for him!
I met Happy Days Wedding flowers on wedding supplier group. I was so pleased when Rachel informed me she used them for her wedding flowers… which were gorgeous and smelt divine!
The moment when a father lays eyes on his daughter on her wedding day always has me holding back the tears.
Here come the girls!
If only you could be driven to every event in a Rolls Royce!
The ceremony took place at Portsmouth Cathedral. All of the guests and I mean ALL of the guest dressed up in 1920’s clothing as it was a 1920’s themed wedding. Yes, they all did look fabulous!
Elegant gypsophila bridesmaid bouquets.
Here comes the bride!
Although photographers are not permitted to take photos during the ceremony, I could take some as the new Mr & Mrs left the stunning Cathedral.
Off to the historic Royal Marines Museum for the wedding reception. What I love about Royal Marines Wedding Photography is that there is the opportunity to take some stunning beach photos, as the beach is opposite the Royal Marines Museum.
Such a fun bunch.
Such a joyful moment between these three sibling!
Just outside the Royal Marine Museum, is a beautiful rose garden where I took Shaun and Rachel’s portraits.
He makes her laugh in only a way that he can.
Oh, these two!
Rachel’s make up was designed by a dear friend of mine Lottie Patterson. Her 1920s inspired hair was done at Crew Salon.
Shaun looked very fetching in his tweed waistcoat teamed with pocket watch.
The fab feathers and lights really captured the 1920’s vibe.
Classy table settings.
The speeches captured all of the fun of the day.
Later on in the evening the sun finally broke through. We made the most of this and had a few more photos outside in the evening sunshine.
The first dance.
The entire wedding party was full of sprit and joy! I LOVED this wedding!
To the new Mr & Mrs Collomb: It’s hard to express how happy I am that you walked into the Portsmouth Guildhall wedding fair, that day. Sharing our love for weddings and Lord Of The Rings, of course! Over the past year not only have I had the privilege of working with some super sweet and creative clients, but I’ve been blessed with your friendship too. You two are a couple of the nicest people I could ever meet. Seeing you together makes my heart sing. Not only do I feel it, but it’s easy to see your friends and family see it too. Your beautiful wedding will forever be close to my heart xXx
Thank you to all of the wonderful wedding suppliers:
A special thanks goes out to my amazing assistant Lexy xXx.
