HAPPY NEW YEAR
2020 ROUND UP
So 2020, what can I say? I know 2020 will be remembered for all the wrong reasons, but I’m going to try and remember at least part of it for all the right reasons. 2020 was the year Aidan learnt how sit up, walk, say his first words and well, really grow his little personality. For some of 2020 at least Elliott was really settled at nursery, plus at home he learned to play and giggle with his baby brother. Hubby and I were lucky enough to have a much needed night away at a spa just a couple of weeks before lockdown. As a family we learnt to be more resourceful, making meals with what’s left in the cupboard, inventing rainy day games. I’ve learnt inflatable pools and the neighbours cat just don’t mix… “farewell pool, the week we had you was fun while it lasted”.
What 2020 did do was help me to slow down. Running your own business with a baby and 3 year isn’t easy. Any downtime I had between photoshoots and looking after my boys, I was working on the admin/ marketing side of my business. During lockdown I was able to spend less time on my business without the guilt of neglecting it. I streamlined my photography workflows and feel on top of things ready for my 2021 clients… pending the end of tier 4.
Below are a few highlights of my work this year. Oddly I managed to photograph more people than ever with my Doorstep Donations project and Christmas sessions. I have lived in Woking my entire life, yet have learnt more about the people of Woking this year than all of my other years combined. The generosity of my clients during Doorstep Donations, blew me away! Together we raised £1300 for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
I would like to thank each and every one of my clients for your kind words and support over the year. Your support has meant more to me than I could every say. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
