Their story started off as an office romance. I say office romance but both Holly and Rory work in the Army, so it is about as far away from an office romance as you can get! Rory fell in love with the girl who lived in the barracks two doors down from him, that girl was Holly. Using all of his powers of persuasion, Holly succumbed to Rory’s charms and their romance blossomed. Two years on and they have moved into a beautiful cottage and are planning their romantic wedding at Cain Manor. When I arrived for the engagement session, I had the pleasure of meeting someone that completely stole my heart, Holly and Rory’s gorgeous little dog, Julienne (trust me you will see she is super cute).
Due to an injury Holly has be visiting Tedworth House (A military recovery centre) for treatment. Only a few people are allowed here, and Holly is one of the privileged few. So where best to start the engagement session than the beautiful gardens that surrounds Tedworth House.
Introducing Julienne… and Holly and Rory of course! I seriously want to bring a gorgeous doggy on every shoot! They clearly all adore each other!
Julienne loved the majestic fountain in the courtyard… she may have wet her paws slightly 😉
We were blessed with such gorgeous golden sunshine (my favourite). I wish the same could be said about the rest of the Easter weekend!
During the shoot I had to ask Holly & Rory if they had been photographed before, they were such naturals in front of the camera. I just felt so happy seeing how in love they are.
When I met Holly I remember being transfixed by how simply stunning her engagement ring is, wow wow wow!
For our second location we went out deep into the countryside to a hill where Holly & Rory frequently go for walks and picnics (they love picnics, well who doesn’t?).
Julienne couldn’t contain herself with excitement as we go out of the car into the field. She is just so much cuteness!
The view over the hill was simply breathtaking.
One happy family!
It was just such a relaxing evening in early spring sunshine.
Thank you so much Holly & Rory for making your engagement session so much fun. I absolutely loved learning more about you both as well as more details about your wedding. Not long now and I for one, cannot wait! xXx
Lovely shoot Lorraine! Is it my imagination or has it been one of the coldest few months I’ve known – makes outdoor photography difficult when your subjects are shivvering!
