Meet my family

Hello, I’m Lorraine – the face behind the camera at Lorraine Claire Photography.

My journey into photography started long before I made it my career. I studied art, animation, lighting, and media at university, which led me to a role in the television industry. But throughout it all, my camera was never far from my side. I found myself constantly drawn to portraiture—the emotion, the connections, the storytelling.

In 2012, with lots of encouragement from my family, I followed my heart and launched Lorraine Claire Photography—and I’ve never looked back.

Photography has given me the most incredible gift: the ability to freeze moments in time for families, just like mine.

I married my best friend in 2014, and in 2016, after being unsure if I could ever have children, I became a mummy to our beautiful baby boy. He’s now a lively 8-year-old obsessed with Minecraft and sharks! Our family was completed in 2019 with the arrival of our second son—our fun-loving little chatterbox. Being their mum is my greatest joy (and the reason I run on tea and very little sleep!).

My style is light, natural and timeless—capturing those fleeting moments of connection and personality that pass all too quickly. Whether you’re expecting your first baby, chasing after a toddler, or celebrating a milestone, I’m here to make the experience feel calm, joyful, and relaxed.

Over the years, I’ve trained with some of the best UK and international photographers and continue to learn every day. I truly believe there’s always something new—and beautiful—just around the corner.
